Flamsteed House was designed by Christopher Wren for the first Astronomical Royal in 1675
Inside  are the original clocks developed by John Harrison

The story is featured in the film "Longitude"

It also has the Astronomer Royals' apartments, the Octagon Room and a Camera Obscura

At 12:59 it is raised to the top At 1pm it falls rapidly to about half way and bounces a little (under-damped) and then slowly down
