		from the current (Nov 2007) Owner: 
		"The 
		cottage can be traced back to 1275 and was a medieval hall originally. 
		It is grade II* listed building putting in the top 6% of all listed 
		buildings (grade 1 and grade 2*) and South Oxfordshire District Council 
		said it is the 6th oldest inhabited cruck construction house in 
		England....don't know how much truth there is to that....maybe for its 
		particular construction.We bought it 1 year ago and only just got planning permission to 
		renovate it as it hadn't been touched for 50 years. Much of the main 
		fabric of the building has been replaced and added to over the years but 
		the cruck beams are still there and are still holding the place up!
 3 families lived there until the 50s!"
 
		As 
		you can see from the pictures above it was in the process of being 
		re-thatched when I passed by on November 20, 2007
