We believe
Lilliput
Lane's "Moreton
Manor" is based on
two buildings in Westington, Chipping Campden, not at Moreton in the Marsh as
indicated in Gullivers World and deed Deed
"Built around the mid-1800s, the
home that inspired Moreton Manor sits beside the road leading out of the
Worcestershire village of Moreton-in-the-Marsh, not far from the rather
gruesomely named twin villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter".
Firstly, the picture in
Gullivers World does not look like the model. Secondly, an extensicve search of
then roads around Moreton in the Marsh did not show buildings like that
depicted. |

Jan Tarrant writes:
"A house in Shepherd's Close, Westington, Chipping
Campden which shows many features of - LL
Moreton Manor.
Adjacent is
the Manor House at Westington which has window features incorporated on
LL Moreton Manor
Our conclusion is LL Moreton Manor is a Compilation of these two
buildings at Westington"
