Lilliput Lane's "High Ghyll Farm" & "Winter at High Ghyll" are mainly based on Glencoyne Farm off A592 North of Glenridding CA11 0QT{Hilary Armstrong info} [452384  BLB]. It is possible the barn is based pn one in Troutbeck.

The drive to the farm is a public footpath, There is a small la=yt-by opposite the drive by the lake...or a car park just to the north.
