POST MISTRESS RETIRES
The tiny Post Office
which has been an iconic symbol of Farndale, has closed with the
retirement of our Postmistress Nora Dobson, after 35 years. The Post
Office must be one of the most photographed in the North York Moors and
possibly the whole country. Janet Campling was the final customer before
Nora closed the door for the last time at 4pm on Monday 27th
March.
Nora would like to
thank all her customers for their support down the years. She also said
“Please do continue to call for a chat”.
If anyone is
interested in running a replacement Post Office in Farndale please
