Lilliput Lane's "Ashness Bridge" is based on Ashness Bridge which can be located by taking the narrow road to Watendlath, a left-turn off the B5289 beside Derwent Water, about three miles south of Keswick. There is a National Trust car park just beyond the bridge.CA12 5UN
