Stoke Newington

Up

Stoke Newington Town Hall.

After an extensive restoration project, Stoke Newington Town Hall has been restored to its former Art Deco glory. Funded by Hackney Council, the building has a stunning assembly hall, complete with original sprung Canadian maple dance floor and a beautifully renovated council chamber with original gold cornicing, wood panelling and vaulted domed ceiling.

I  visited as part of London Openhouse on Sept 18, 2011
