An early mention of Itchen Stoke occurs in 960 when King Edgar granted the manor to the Bishop of Winchester.   History

Lilliput Lane's "Good Luck" is based on the "back" (East side) of Yew Tree Cottage on the main road through the village SO24 0QZ     but
 
whilst the back looks the same, the front is very different -- almost missing a floor level!
