From 1942 to 1944 Audley End
was used as a training area for Special Operations Executive operatives
going to Poland behind enemy lines.
On February 10, 2016 I visited for
a special tour organised by English Heritage.
One of the bridges over the Cam which
would have been blown..
...by explosives in the container by the
side.
A grenade in the weapons store
and a revolver
These words were discovered
just before the tour. Are they words in Polish? Is it Polish style for
handwriting?
Could they be names of trainees? Let me
know.................
