Royston

Up

Royston is on the border of Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. The town is named after the Wayside Cross erected by Lady Roysia. The town was a favourite hunting base for King James 1 who built a hunting lodge in the town.

It is at the intersection of 2 major ancient roadways :

It lies on 2 Ley Lines is just off the Greenwich Meridian

One of its most famous attractions is the Royston Cave which we visited in August 2003 . It lies on 2 Ley Lines, and the Cave could have been originally an ancient religious site taken over by the Templars for their own ceremonies.

The very first house John & Judy looked at with a view to purchase (1st of 64!) was a timber framed house in Mulberry Court, Royston
