I went racing on August 9, 2014 as Yvonne was playing in a silver band to celebrate Poppy Day organised by the Royal British Legion.

The band was drawn from several groups around London

Performance was in the Grandstand and Paddocks behind the Newmarket Nights stage.  
   

There was a precession of Royal British Legion standard bearers ..............

.............and a junior marching band
Parade Ring.... ...and galloping to the start

I'd selected a Godolphin runner to win ........but didn't back it
