Wicken is most famous for Wicken Fen, which is owned by the National Trust, is has been designated as a National Nature Reserve. In fact it is the oldest nature reserve in the UK.
Lilliput Lane's "Mothers Cottage" is based on Butts Farmhouse, 15 Pond Green (north side) [IoE 48912]
We visited on March 15, 2006 Earlier Photo by Jan Tarrant who identified the location to us
