Lilliput Lane's "Sweet William" is based on the left hand end of Joel Cottage in the High Street (South side) [IoE 37251]
When we visited on February 9, 2006 we found it in a terrible state of repair' Lathe & Plaster were visible and large areas were protected with sheets of chipboard -- hardly appropriate for a Grade II listed building.
But when John revisited on January 26, 2007 the roof had been re-thatched and there were signs of further renewal
I revisited April 6, 2010............. not a lot of difference !!
......and again on March 27, 2013 --- some improvements but still work going on!
