Regent Theatre

Up

I've been to a couple of shows at the Regent Theatre in Ipswich. It was a cinema and still has the feel of a single screen cinema with a balcony

On Sept 25th, 2007 I saw the touring version of  "I'm Sorry I Haven't A clue" shortly before the death of Chairman, Humphrey Littleton.

Then I saw it again  on December 13, 2010 this time chaired by Jack Dee.

On November 23, 2008 it was "Sensational Sixties" with The Dreamers, Marmalade & The Tremeloes
"The Dreamers" (who lost lead singer Freddie Garrity on May 19, 2006)                              Alan Mosca, Bryan Byng, Ray Martin (drums) & Rob Isles  (lead guitar)
"Marmalade" who had headlined the VC's Ball at Reading University in June 1968 when "Lovin' Things" was at no# 1 Sandy Newman,  Graham Knight, Alan Holmes, Glenn James Taylor
Rick Westwood is lead guitarist of "The Tremeloes "............whose greatest hit was "Silence is Golden"

Rick West (lead guitar), Jeff Brown (bass) Dave Munden (drums) , Joe Gillingham (keyboards)

All three groups on stage for the finale which had everyone standing and rocking
"What do you call a guy who hangs around with musicians?"

"A drummer" {attributed to Phil Collins!}

Here The Dreamers drummer, Ray Martin, gives Shelagh a hug.
