We visited  {Barking &} Dagenham Civic Centre on September 17, 2006 as part of London Openhouse.  [IoE 198262]

It's a Grade II listed Art Deco-style building in mulberry stock brick with imposing Portland stone entrance and portico. Recently refurbished interior has excellent Art Deco ceilings and botticino marble stairs and foyer. Designed by E Berry Webber in 1936

It's wide making it difficult to get a good shot of the front of the whole building which is at the junction of A124 & A1112 [Directions][Aerial]
