Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground is an old airfield in Leicestershire with lots of old planes.

It is home to the "Cold War Jets Collection"   Enthusiasts can be seen running Lightening jets up and down the runways.

Current Usage        Photos of planes

It has been used for Motorsport for Formula Student in July but the first time John visited there was for a driving day with ex-F1 driver, Jonathon Palmer. The base was the Control Tower which is now used for similar events by  "Big Thunder" and also figures in Formula Student.
