Bill in RAF

Up

 

Bill served in RAF during WWII. He worked in bomber command (102 Squadron, No 4 Group at Pocklington, Yorkshire) as ground crew servicing Halifax's and picked up lots of knowledge about aero engines.

He also took an active part in entertainment of the troops as stage crew.

"Night Must Fall" 1945. Paul Daneman went on to be a star of stage and TV --

"Black Magic"/"Ballet Thoroughfare"   Dec 1945

 

It meant he met visiting acts such as Norman Evans
