Steeleye Span @ Barbican


On December 17, 2019 I went to see Steeleye Span at the Barbican for their 50th Anniversary Concert. The current line up was joined by a few past members (Martin Carthy, Peter Knight and John Kirkpatrick) I have seen them over 20 times since 1972 including at the Apex in Bury St Edmunds on December 2, 2019! Then I was in stalls front row -- at Barbican is was back of the circle.

The current line up: Julian Littman – guitars; Liam Genockey – drums, percussion Benji Kirkpatrick – guitars; Maddy Prior -- vocals Roger Carey - bass; Violetta Vicci - violin; Spud Sinclair - guitars (Note Violetta was standing in for Jessie May Smart on the tour)
